Carts and Sprinklers

Kifco offers a wide selection of standard carts and sprinklers to meet job-specific needs. We feature Nelson, Sime, and Komet sprinklers and offer custom-designed carts, booms, and non-standard sprinklers for special applications. Customized cart & sprinkler configuration is by far the most cost-effective alternative for most applications, and riser extension options allow a greater sprinkler height to clear obstructions while still offering stability.

Kifco also offers common accessories and assemblies like suction hoses, valves, and fittings, to complete your system needs. Please see general product brochures and Model Spec Sheets for B-Series Water-Reels, Ag-Rain Water-Reels & companion Pumps for more detailed information.

Pumps

Kifco also offers a full line of booster, primary, and transfer pump packages specifically designed to match your Water-Reel system requirements. A primary pump pulls the water from the source at the full flow and head required by the system. A booster pump boosts the pressure of a supply system to match the pressure needs of the irrigation system. A transfer pump moves water from one location to another so that it is available for a primary pump.

The Pumps can be reel, skid, or trailer mounted depending on size and function. Kifco uses diesel, gasoline, electric & PTO-powered pumps to meet your system needs. Kifco pump packages are manufactured with automatic shut-off to protect your system in no-flow or high-pressure situations. Engine-driven packages have low oil, and high engine temperature safety shutdowns, meet current emissions standards, and are complete with ignition, charging, exhaust, cooling, and intake systems. Electric units have overheating, low amp, high amp, and loss of phase protection. Kifco offers a wide variety of options and can even custom design and build pump packages to meet your site-specific requirements.

Drive Systems
Turbine Drive System

Turbine

Turbine drives use the pressurized water flowing through the reel to power the retraction. Speed is controlled by diverting more or less water through the turbine, wasting no water in the process with less than 10 psi of pressure loss. There are minimum flow requirements for the turbines to operate for each model.

Bellows Drive System

Bellows

The bellows drive is used on two models, the B110 and B140, and is an inexpensive option that does not create additional pressure loss. The water flow is used to fill a bellows that rotates the reel. When it reaches maximum expansion, the water in the bellows is expelled, and the bellows is compressed by a spring ready to expand again and rotate the reel another time.

Engine Drive System

Engine

The engine drive uses a reel-mounted gasoline engine to power the retraction. This is advantageous for low flow, harsh water, and hard pull applications. Engine drives can be built to move fast for light applications (800fph) or slow for heavy application (35 fph).

DC Electric Drive System

DC Electric

The electric drive system is available on models E110 & E140 and features a small reel-mounted, battery-operated DC motor (battery not included) which powers the reel rotation. A solar panel kit is available to trickle charge the battery, making it a truly environmentally green system.

Ag-Rain

Ag-Rain Water-Reels are a versatile solution to your agricultural, turf, or waste disposal needs, along with dust suppression and pre-wet applications in the industrial, mining, and environmental markets. Ag-Rain travelers come in a wide variety of lengths and tube diameters to fit your needs.

B-Series

Kifco Water-Reels® are the premier hard hose traveler in the irrigation industry, and Kifco also offers a full line of booster, primary, and transfer pump packages that have been carefully selected to work with your Water-Reel whether you’re running off a municipal water source or pulling from an irrigation ditch or pond. Water-Reels are used for irrigation, dust suppression, leaching, de-watering, pre-wet, reclamation, and other custom applications. They operate unattended, automatically shutting off upon completion of the run, and are often the most cost-effective solution for small plots, irregular-shaped areas, and remote locations. Water-Reels® are ideal for sports fields and temporary installations because no permanent in-field pipe or heads are required, which also lowers maintenance costs. When the irrigation run is complete, the tube is neatly coiled on a portable base and is ready to transport to the next location. Kifco offers two full lines of Water-Reels®, the smaller B-Series and the larger Ag-Rain models.
